Narcos: Mexico Season 2
Some shows find a nice steady pace, and some shows just fall off. Narcos: Mexico Season 2 turns up the heat in what I believe to be the best season of Narcos we have seen yet.
Even after crushing through all 10 episodes, it still leaves you wanting more. While many people assume, this season we will start to see the rise of “El Chapo”, we only get to see his origin story in small segments. There is still so much more story telling left in this series.
Narcos: Mexico season 2 continues the story of Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, now the Godfather of the first Mexican cartel – the Guadalajara cartel – as he struggles to maintain control, grow his empire, and reconcile the betrayals and sacrifices he had to make on his way to becoming El Padrino. As friction between the different “plazas” of his cartel rises, Fé lix’s control over the situation slips. Meanwhile, the death of DEA agent Kiki Camarena at the hands of the cartel and corrupt politicians brings a hailstorm of retribution to Mexico. “Operation Leyenda” led by the dogged DEA agent Walt Breslin, whose methods aren’t always by-the-book, targets Félix Gallardo and his chief lieutenants, adding to the instability and volatility of the cartel.
Right from episode 1 the gas pedal never lets up with makes it the best season yet!

The pharmacist dispenses greatness
Every now and then a great documentary is released which captures the greatness of one man up against the world fighting for change. It’s even more rare to see true grit at work that results in real change.
The Netflix Original 4-Part Documentary, The Pharmacist, tells a tight compelling story of one man who saw the opioid crisis simmering almost a decade before boiling over.
“WARNING: 4hrs of your life are about to be consumed immediately upon pressing play - but don’t worry, it will be worth it!”
On February 5th, this documented battle of man vs his boss, the medical community, big pharma and the United States of America will be unleashed and you will have a tough time trying not to binge all 4 hrs at once.
In 1999, after losing his son in a drug-related shooting in New Orleans and lacking answers from police, a small town pharmacist - Dan Schneider - beats the odds when he embarks on a dogged pursuit to find and bring his son’s killer to justice. But months later, the ripple effects of his son’s addiction and tragic death would find him again when a troubling number of young, seemingly healthy people begin visiting Dan’s pharmacy with high dose prescriptions for OxyContin. Then take the fight to Big Pharma itself.
